Documentary

This is a pretty amazing documentary I found on Vimeo.
Urban historian Steve and film-maker Andrew created this guerrilla documentary.

"As an urban historian & photographer, I try to peel back the layers of a city to see what's underneath. From the tops of bridges to the depths of sewer tunnels, these explorations of the urban environment help me puzzle together the interconnected, multi-dimensional history and complexity of the great metropolises of the world."

2011 Task.

I feel as though I've floated through 2010.. Not particularly doing a lot, at least much that I can show for.
So I've set myself a task of creating a short film each week, for this year.
I've always felt that it would be too much, but with yesterday completing a roughly 2 minute film in the afternoon, the task of doing it on a weekly basis doesn't seem to daunting, and also builds up my portfolio and experience!
Also gives me something to look forward to, gives me a break from school and work.. Just what I need this new year!

And speaking of work,
I've just about finished my art project on portraiture. .  Here's my final piece:

(meant to be in a row, with the bottom photograph in the middle . but won't fit! xD )

Short Film - Snowangel

Filmed and edited yesterday, as I decided to get out of the house from all the coursework I was doing!

Idea of following a trail of objects belonging to an unknown person, through the snow covered woods.
The use of soundtrack adds quite a dark tone, but the ending is meant to be a happy ending, as the person has escaped and become a snow angel, which in the process of making, creates a feeling of being free.
